I need one logical explanation as to what democrats really believe and what they really want for this society of ours in the United States.  I have been very confused lately as to if democrats really are Americans!  Let me elaborate....

First off, the domocrats have taken opposite stances of the Bush administration on EVERY issue of national security that we are now faced with.  That in itself is not a problem at all if they have a solution for these issues...but all they are doing is complaining about what Bush does!  For example, they are saying Bush is not "...doing enough with the war on terror" (regardless of the fact that we are capturing more terrorists each week) but I don't see Tom Daschel or Little Dick Gephart proposing what we should do differently.  They are saying that Bush should "...give Saddam more time" in Iraq...even though half of the democrats in the senate approved a declaration of war in Iraq (talk about trying to have your cake and eat it too).  They are accusing Bush of unilaterally going into Iraq....nevermind that 31 other countries agree with Bush....nevermind that France, Germany, Russia, and China are the only ones aligning themselves with the spineless democrats on this.  Tom Daschel, the democrat leader, just came out today (3/6/03) with a statement that Bush is not taking North Korea seriously and that the USA should go into North Korea right away to fix the situation.....he emphasized that we do this only with neighbors of N.Korea, nevermind the United Nations.  But wait, this same Daschel said the full United Nations should support the Iraq dilema?  Baffling.....really.

So what are the democrats really saying?  The only way they can legitimize their point that we aren't doing enough to fight terrorism is another terrorist attack!  The only way they can legitimize their point that we should not disarm Saddam is if Saddam defeats us in a war (but how will he beat us if he is unarmed as they also claim?)!!  The only way they can legitimize their idea that North Korea is more of a threat than anything else in the world and that they will nuke us is if North Korea actually nukes us!!  The democrats are coming out on the wrong side on every current issue...and I'm saying that because they are only complaining and not proposing a solution to the problems.

For years now, the republicans have been pushing for a strategic missile defense system to protect from rogue nations such as North Korea if they ever acquire the means to reach us with nukes, but the democrats ALWAYS say that we should not have this protection.  Why aren't democrat citizens alarmed that their own party has no intention of even trying to protect them?  The democrats and pundants are now mocking missile defense saying "...how can that protect us from suicide bombers?" or "how can that save us from a dirty bomb?" etc.  These arguments are nonsensical and off the point.  How will we protect ourselves if a country shoots a long range intercontinental ballistic missile into San Diego?  I guarantee....if something that catastrophic happens, all of congress will unanimously pass a missile defense proposal within days...mark my words.  The whole point of setting up this system is to PREVENT this sort of attack...DUH!

I am also amazed how if the democrat leadership is so interested in helping minorities, the poor, and the disenfranchised, why do they continue to alienate and perpetuate the problems of these groups? Minorities for example are not even looked at as equals by democrats. These people are looked at automatically as people that need help and assistance. What is that all about? I thought that you could be all you can be in the United States...the land of opportunity, the land of making the most of yourself! The recent block of the appointment of Miguel Estrada to the US circuit court is a good example of how democrats are so very prejudiced towards minorities. Miguel has the highest qualifications, having argued over a dozen cases before the supreme court, practiced Constitutional law since 1986 and having graduated from Harvard Law School (rarely considered a 2nd class education). The democrats are saying that Miguel does not appear "qualified"....but is that because the democrats believe that Miguel is up for nomination because the republicans felt sorry for him and nominated him because he was Hispanic? Al Sharpton has stated that he will run for president in 2004 on the democratic ticket, but the democrats will not even acknowledge him.....the first black man to seek the presidency as a democrat in history. Hmmmm.... Time after time we see these things happening...the rejection by the democrats of such great black leaders as Larry Elder, Clarence Thomas, Colin Powell, Alan Keyes.....while at the same time allowing the whitest of white men Bill Clinton prance around calling himself the first "black president." How do minorities continue to accept this? They are being walked on daily by the democrats and willingly following no matter what. Would it have something to do with affirmative action? A process designed to set minorities up in a position in which we can never be sure if they were ever qualified for anything....but were given whatever they have because of skin color? How much respect does a system like that give a person? Why would minorities want to look at themselves at the end of the day knowing that they didn't earn what they have? And those unfortunate minorities that really earned where they ended up....how will anyone really believe it? I would despise a cloud like that hanging over my head.

Can SOMEBODY tell me what the democrats are thinking with their views and agendas?
